To perpetuate message of gender equality, Youth Congress will initiate the awareness drive from Hoshiarpur in tandem with Bachpan Bachau Andolan and initiative of renowned NGO Fight For Right.
Disclosing this here today, President of Punjab Youth Congress (PYC) Mr. Brinder Singh Dhillon said that Youth Congress will initiate the awareness drive from Hoshiarpur in tandem with Bachpan Bachau Andolan and initiative of renowned NGO Fight For Right.
Inviting all Political and Social Outfits for this cause, Mr. Dhillon said that the cause is above from vested interests of Vote Politics and Punjab Youth Congress will take this cause in rural walks of life of Punjab. Lauding the efforts of Simranjit Kaur Gill for this cause, he insisted that all political outfits should open their doors for these types of efforts and support the cause. He said that proper sex education will nurture good values and not leave a bad impression to the kids. Many people in our society believe that sex education should only be restricted to families, that parents should personally take up the issue and educate their children. This view does not make any sense; this education needs a proper channel through which it should reach everyone.
Introducing sex education in school curriculum is important to tackle the issue, President of Punjab Youth Congress (PYC) this might be implemented in all private and government schools with a syllabus covering all the aspects of sex education for youth. This should form the vital part of the curriculum helping the youth to understand the unethical and inhuman aspect of such behaviours.
Stressing upon the need to aware children about good and bad touch, Ms. Simranjit Kaur Gill also highlighted the immediate action taken by her in many cases of child abuse. She informed that her NGO has covered 200 schools of the state with the help of School Education Department of Punjab and aware the children about their rights and other related aspects. She said that motive of UNO funded Bachpan Bachao Andolan is to create proper protective environment for every child.
