REVENUE COURT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM IS BEING IMPLEMENTED EFFECTIVELY IN JALANDHAR

To ensure speedy redressal of the revenue cases, Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori on Friday said that summons pertaining to revenue cases would be served through Short Message Service (SMS), email, or WhatsApp soon.
Participating in the video-conference presided over by Financial Commissioner Revenue Vishwajeet Khanna, Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori said that following the amendment of the Punjab Land Revenue (Amendment) Act, 2020, this new service of delivering the summons through digital mode, would be implemented.
He said that the service would not only help to quicken the pace of the cases but would also clear the pendency soon. The Deputy Commissioner added that after sending the summons digitally, the officers would keep the record of summons physically for the future purpose.
Deputy Commissioner further informed that Revenue Court Management System (RC MS) which was developed by National Informatics Centre (NIC) to facilitate management and monitoring of Court Cases about Revenue Courts is being effectively implemented here.
He said that the online services of demarcation of land and non-encumbrance certificates also initiated through RCMS. He said that the applicant was needed to apply for demarcation online and payments are also being received through this portal.
He said that in case, the applicant failed to apply online, then the applicant could either go to the Fard Kendra, Sewa Kendra, or directly CRO Office and submit the application.
He said that RCMS was designed specifically for all Revenue Courts in the state, which include Financial Commissioner, Divisional Commissioner, Director Land Records, Deputy Commissioner, SDM, Tehsildar, and Naib Tehsildars courts.
Thori said that this system had the details of properties under litigation from the land record database along with petitioners and respondents adding that besides the generation of summoning notices, the system automatically generates a date-wise cause-list of different courts, which was available to citizens as well.
The Deputy Commissioner said that all case-related documents including interim orders, final judgments, and others could be uploaded through this system. He said that it was a boon for the citizens as they could access details of any case along with case status from the portal for which no credentials or registration was required.
