Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Member Mangwinder Singh Khaparkheri, Member Bhai Manjit Singh, S. Surjit Singh Bhitewad, Bhai Ram Singh, S. Harjap Singh Sultanwind and Bhai Ajaib Singh Abhayasi, a member of the Dharam Prachar Committee, in a joint statement strongly condemned the protest by some organizations against the SGPC on the heritage route. He said that for almost 40 days, some people sitting in front of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) office in the name of honor committee had been using vulgar language against the elected office bearers and officials of the SGPC every day. Shiromani Committee functionaries questioned whether Bhai Mohkam Singh and Manjit Singh Bhoma, who chanted “Yes” in favor of the protesters in today’s protest on Heritage Road, should first make it clear that if the Sikh body Shiromani Committee is so bad, then Why have these people served their family members here? He said that most of the life of these people has been raised by their family members. Bhai Mohkam Singh’s brother S. Karanjit Singh, who has recently retired, has been in charge of the publications department for a long time. In addition, two or three other family members are also employees. Instead of fooling the people, Bhai Mohkam Singh should get information from his brother as to where the holy forms have gone and to whom they have been given. On the other hand, Bhai Manjit Singh Bhoma’s brother Major Singh used to serve and now Bhai Ranjit Singh is also an employee of the Shiromani Committee. If this organization is so bad or its employees seem masand to these people then these people should recall their family members from the organization. He said that even these people who were recruiting half of the families in the SGPC were also cursing the organization under the dual policy. He appealed to the Panth Dardis to mobilize to expose the duplicitous face of these people who were conspiring to tarnish the image of the organization which had come into being after many sacrifices.
